What Kind of Coaching is Strong in menopause?

Strong In Menopause focuses on coaching for women in the menopause transition (perimenopause through post-menopause). The Strong In Menopause approach is a holistic one. In addition to exercise and nutrition plans, we focus on things like symptom management and goal setting.

How does online coaching work?

Once you sign up for coaching, you will have a kick off call with our founder Jenn. In the kick off call, we will talk about your goals, your lifestyle, things you are struggling with, things you hope to achieve, and then we will do some action planning. We will have regular check ins to measure progress and make changes. You can contact Jenn at anytime with questions or comments.

How is Strong in menopause different from other fitness coaching or gyms?

We take a holistic approach at Strong In Menopause. While we do believe in the importance of a consistent, progressive fitness program, we know you are more than just your workout. We spend time talking to you about your lifestyle, your goals, your concerns, your nutrition, and your menopause symptoms. Our action plan addresses all of these things, and encompasses far more than just a workout in the gym.

I haven’t been diagnosed with perimenopause, can I still work with you?

Yes! You don’t need a clinical diagnosis to work with us. In fact, a clinical diagnosis may be almost impossible to get from your doctor. Even if you aren’t sure where you are in the menopause transition, we can work with you to improve your health and fitness, while managing other stressors in your life.

do you offer coaching for women with early or surgical menopause?

Absolutely! Because we offer holistic coaching, we are able to help women in these populations make a lot of progress.

Is the information shared during my sessions confidential?

Yes, all information shared during coaching sessions is confidential. We adhere to strict privacy policies to protect your personal information.

What Happens if my goals change or my plan isn’t working for me?

Our highest priority is your success. Part of our program involves consistently monitoring progress and making necessary changes. If your plan isn’t working for you, we will change your plan until it does work for you.

What kind of Programs Do you Offer?

We offer three programs: Private Coaching, Group Coaching, and a Just Fitness program. Both Private and Group Coaching offer holistic menopause coaching that focuses on fitness, nutrition, symptom management, and goal setting. The Just Fitness program provides weekly fitness plans and coaching, without holistic approach. If you would like to know more about these programs, schedule a free consultation.

What is the difference between Private coaching and Group Coaching?

Both programs offer weekly personalized workout and nutrition plans, and direct access to Jenn via Voxer. The Private Coaching program offers weekly one on one coaching with Jenn. This is great for women who really want to focus on their action plan. The Group Coaching program offers a weekly group meeting with no more than five women. The group calls are a time for questions, updates on how the week went, and a great opportunity to connect with and learn from the other women in the group. What are your Fitness plans like?

Our fitness plans are tailored to each individual, taking into consideration fitness level, health history, lifestyle, amount of time available, available fitness equipment, and goals. In our kick off meeting we will determine what will work best for you, and each week I will tailor an exercise program to your exact needs. Each week will likely involve a mix of strength and cardio, and you can expect your programming to progress as you become stronger.

What are your nutrition plans like?

Our nutrition plans are tailored to each individual, taking into consideration lifestyle, responsibilities, amount of time available, and goals. In our kick off meeting we will determine what will work best for you, and each week I will tailor a nutrition plan to your exact needs. Our nutrition plans aren’t meal plans with set calories and macros. Instead they will center on overall goals, such as adding more protein to your diet, adding vegetables to each meal, eating out fewer times per week. We have seen our clients have significantly more success with behavior-based nutrition plans, because they learn life skills that they can carry on when they finish the Strong In Menopause program.

What if I have questions between sessions?

You can reach out at any time via email or Voxer. Voxer is a great tool that enables confidential voice and text messaging. This allows you to catch up with Jenn whenever works for your schedule.

When will I see results?

This is different for everyone. Women who follow their action plan typically see results quickly, especially with reduction of symptoms, such as hot flushes, night sweats, exhaustion, and mood swings.
